Hi All,

I have a query regarding leaves. My company is calculating salary based on working days, which is 20. If they calculate like this, LOP per day will be very high. Previously, they used to calculate salary based on calendar days, which is 30 days. However, if a person takes leave on Friday and Monday, they used to deduct four days' salary. Is this the correct method to calculate salary?

Please reply.

Hi Praveen,

Leave calculation is correct, but Manpower days need to be calculated based on a 30 or 31-day month. We pay salaries on a monthly basis, so it's better to calculate salaries on a 30-day basis. This approach will be effective and beneficial for employees. Please consider this and proceed.
