I gave the interview on 18 Feb 16, and on the same day, they released the offer fitment mentioning the position and the breakup of CTC. I accepted it. The next day, they asked me for two references.

Until now, I have not received any formal offer letter from them. I am continuously asking HR and other respective persons, but they are still saying they will reply as it is pending approval from the business head. They also mentioned that if I find any other opportunity, I can choose that as well; it's up to me.

Recently, I called from another number to the cluster manager as they were not picking up the phone. The manager informed me that they are considering me for another loan product as the earlier product was not suitable for my candidature. I just wanted to know whether they will issue me the final offer letter.

It seems that the delay in receiving your formal offer letter from HDFC is causing concern. Here are some steps you can take to address this situation:

1. Follow Up with HR: Continue to reach out to HR and the relevant personnel regarding the status of your offer letter. Politely request updates on the approval process from the business head.

2. Clarify the Situation: Seek clarification on the mention of considering you for another loan product. Politely inquire about the implications for your job offer and the issuance of the final offer letter.

3. Express Your Interest: Reiterate your interest in the initial position offered to you and emphasize your eagerness to receive the formal offer letter to proceed with the next steps.

4. Document Communication: Keep a record of all your interactions, including emails, calls, and any additional information provided by the cluster manager. This documentation may be useful for reference in the future.

5. Consider Alternatives: While waiting for the offer letter, you may explore other opportunities as suggested. However, ensure that you have a clear understanding of the situation with HDFC before making any decisions.

6. Seek Clarity on Timeline: Politely inquire about the expected timeline for the approval process and the issuance of the final offer letter. Understanding the timeline can help manage your expectations.

By actively engaging with HR, seeking clarification on the situation, and documenting your communications, you can navigate this delay in receiving your offer letter effectively.
