Universal Account Number (UAN) Details
Please find attached details on UAN (Universal Account Number), the new system started by EPFO. The UAN will act as an umbrella for the multiple Member IDs allotted to an individual by different establishments. The idea is to link multiple Member Identification Numbers (Member ID) allotted to a single member under a single Universal Account Number. This will help the member view details of all the Member Identification Numbers (Member ID) linked to it. If a member already has a Universal Account Number (UAN), they are required to provide the same when joining a new establishment. This enables the employer to assign the new allotted Member Identification Number (Member ID) to the existing Universal Identification Number (UAN).
Thank you.
