I worked at Wipro as a student for 4 years and later converted to an employee after those 4 years. After becoming an employee, I left Wipro after 5 months by resigning and serving the notice period. Wipro provided a relieving and experience letter for the initial 4 years as a student. However, for the following 5 months, they only issued a relieving letter. With these documents, I joined another company (Company D). I have completed 1 year there and am currently serving the notice period after resigning. I will receive a relieving letter and experience certificate for this 1-year period.

Scenario Overview

- First 4 years: I have an experience and relieving letter from Wipro.
- Next 5 months: I have only a relieving letter from Wipro.
- Last 1 year: Currently serving the notice period, and I will receive a relieving and experience certificate.

Could you please advise if I may encounter any issues as I do not possess an experience letter for the 5 months at Wipro, although I have a relieving letter for that period indicating my resignation? They did not provide an experience letter because I did not complete 6 months after transitioning to an employee role. Kindly suggest if this might pose any problems when joining another company now.

Thank you in advance.

This shouldn't create any concern. The data and the document are pretty clear.

Clarification on Job Role Requirement

Are you joining a job that requires you to be continuously in the role that you last worked in at Wipro for the entire 5 years? Your case is crystal clear and cannot cause any issue if your resume is aligned with your documents.

Wish you all the best!

Thank you very much for the reply. My new job does not bother much about the continuous 5 years in the same role. I was just concerned as I did not have the experience letter for those 5 months and worried about whether my new job onboarding would be smooth or not. My resume reflects the same experience, and I have all the documents with clear dates mentioned.

Thank you once again. I hope I will have a smooth onboarding.

  • Srujan, It won’t create any problem. Documents are enough to show your experience. You have an experience letter of your last company, which is more needed.
