Hi Seniors, nowadays, starting a career in top MNCs and IT companies as an HR fresher is becoming increasingly challenging. Therefore, is it advisable to begin a career as an HR Recruiter/HR Consultant in consultancy? Will this experience be considered and recognized in the future? Please clear my doubt.

Hi Priya, I do agree that getting jobs in top MNCs and top IT industries as an HR professional is challenging. Tell me, are you interested in which field? Are you looking to build your career as an HR Generalist or a Recruiter? If you are interested in Recruitment, then you should join Recruitment Consultants. However, if you are looking to work in Core HR or as an HR Generalist, then recruitment experience will not be considered.

Query on Career Choices

I have one query. I don't know the reason why people, even freshers, are only looking into top MNCs. Won't other organizations help you gain knowledge or provide competitive salaries? While the package may be less, you can gain valuable learning experiences in smaller organizations compared to top MNCs and larger IT companies.

Absolutely correct. Nowadays, most freshers want to start their careers in MNCs only. They are not considering small-scale organizations. However, in the small-scale sector, we can learn a lot.

You can start your career in consultancy; that is not a problem. But, in the end, what you have learned is what's important.
