Hi, I am working as a software engineer at present. I have one year of experience, and I would like to shift my career from the technical side to the management side, preferably in HR or any related administration or management work. Is doing the ICFAI correspondence course a good option? Do they provide placement opportunities? 🙂

Hi :
It would be a good idea to pursue MBA from a premier institute like -
1.IIM, Ahmedabad
2.IIM, Lucknow
3.IIM, Bangalore
4.IIM, Calcutta
5.Management Development Institute (MDI)
6.Faculty of Management Studies (FMS)
7. XLRI – Jamshedpur
8.Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies
9.SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai
10.Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar
The admission process for the above institutes is very different/difficult compared to ICFAI.
Anyways you have some more options of fairly recognized institutes i.e. Symbiosis (Pune), IMDR etc. They have good brand value plue they offer good placements.
ICFAI is a good institute but they do not offer 100% placements.
Hope this information is of help to you.
Regards,
Asha

Hi Asha,
ICFAI does offer 100% placements with a minimum CTC of Rs. 21,000 in distance learning. I don't think any other institute mentions specific figures or guarantees for a minimum placement of a fixed amount.
Thanks & Regards,
Gaurav Sahu.
