You haven't provided the complete information regarding your experience and age. There is no dearth of jobs. What counts is the quality of the candidates for employability. If you can provide relevant details such as your subjects in graduation, age, experience, employability skills, communication skills, etc., proper guidance can be given.

I have completed my graduation in BA Economics and have 2 years of experience in a BPO, as well as 3 months of experience as an HR Generalist. I chose to pursue a correspondence MBA due to family priorities. I am 29 years of age and am looking for advice on how to advance my career in HR. Any suggestions on job opportunities or further education that could enhance my career prospects would be greatly appreciated.

Career Opportunities with an MBA from ICFAI

An MBA from ICFAI is of good standard. With two years of experience as an HR generalist and being around 29 years old, you have ample scope for employment as an HR Executive or Senior Executive in a large organization. You could also consider a managerial position in smaller organizations, with a salary ranging between ₹16,000 to ₹25,000 per month.

With more experience, expect an annual salary increase of 10% to 20%. Additionally, keep yourself updated with all the important labor laws and statutory compliances. Having some knowledge in security management, facility management, and general administration will further enhance your employability rate.

Wish you all the best.

I am really sorry I missed some information. I worked in a BPO as a customer service associate and as an HR executive in a small renewable energy company for 3-4 months. I truly value your feedback and support. Thank you for all your help and clarifications. I will certainly try to keep myself updated with all these things. Thanks once again.

Even though you are pursuing an MBA through correspondence, it can carry equal value as a regular MBA if you back it up with experience in HR. I appreciate that you have taken this step to study MBA. You can apply for HR jobs in public sector banks/public sector insurance companies, which consider an MBA from recognized institutions like IGNOU, even if done through correspondence, if backed by relevant experience. There is no dearth of opportunities, especially when you are in Mumbai. You can also try the retail and IT sectors. All the best.

There are certain courses that can add knowledge to you. You may pursue these courses as they may help you in interviews. It's up to you. See the syllabus they are covering. If you find it okay, you may pursue them. Ask them if they will be providing any job assistance. Generally, they say yes, but later they come up with excuses.
