You must have the skill to gather all the information from various departments, critically analyze the facts and figures, raise questions whenever you find something fishy or ambiguous, and have a logical mind to delve into the details.
Skills Required for MIS Professionals
MIS professionals should balance left and right brain activities, although the role mainly pertains to the left brain. You must know the norms, dos, and don'ts in black and white, understand the processes and procedures, and compare them with ongoing organizational activities to project the veracity of facts and figures. MIS professionals should have the ability to delve deeper and broader, much like policing.
