ISO - Implementation & Procedure

Dear all, can you please clarify the following doubts for me?

1. When does a company have to obtain ISO certification? Is it mandatory?
2. What are the benefits of ISO certification?
3. What procedures need to be followed to implement ISO?
4. Does anyone have notes related to ISO 9001-14001?

Please clarify.

Thank you, Ms. Uma and Mr. Sastri, for this link. Greetings for the day and Happy New Year to all. I appreciate Mr. Sastri's opinion but would like to mention a few points in this respect.

Understanding ISO Certification

Basically, ISO does not certify the quality of any product; hence, there is no time-saving in product inspection as mentioned above. ISO is a procedure of the working system, and each organization has to spell out its system/procedure of working, production, administration, or disposal of waste material.

Who Can Opt for ISO?

Any organization, from a small vendor to a five-star hotel/company, can opt for ISO by following simple procedures of systems/procedures on their own. ISO does not elaborate on sections like accounts, quality control, or the value of the product.

ISO as a Step Towards Quality

ISO is simply the first/basic step towards quality working. Therefore, various companies located in countries like Japan, China, and the USA do not take cognizance of whether your company is ISO certified or not.

You may get better information from the website mentioned by Mr. Sastri.
