Hi all,

Check out... I wanted to share this.

When a company scans through the crisp curriculum vitae and educational background of a job aspirant, it wants to be sure that the potential candidate has what the job demands and is not a round peg in a square hole. To help companies achieve this objective, an Ahmedabad-based astrologer has found an unusual way of offering his services - by asking companies to provide the 'janam kundali' of the candidate to determine if the stars are favorably disposed towards them in the specific field. This is because excellent academic qualifications may not necessarily indicate the inner bent, inclination, and proclivities of the candidate, which could lead to them being a round peg in a square hole, according to astrologer Mr. Maulik Bhatt, who is providing his services to numerous companies.

Hi there!

Very interesting article on the horoscope of employees...ha! ha! Well, I wanted to know - what do you do with old employee files in a company? Do you discard them? I mean, I have employee files as old as 8-10 years and was wondering whether I should discard them.

Thanks and have a good day!

Hi Atom,

Good one! Next, we might hear about palm reading and stuff like that. It may mean that one has to send a photocopy of the palm with the lines clear and the kundali instead of the certificates while applying. 😂 😂 😂

Is it for real? If yes, then soon we will see parrots and face readers sitting in the interview panel, and the candidates will have added and subtracted some letters from their names to get a job in a particular organization. :) I think I should change my profession and go for something along these lines!

Cheers,
Pallavi

Dear Jingles,

The files of old employees can be disposed of after 7 years. Only keep a copy of Full and Final Settlements along with receipts made and Transfer of PF (Form 13) for a period of more than 10 years (as you want) for these employees. Only keep files in case there is a dispute.
