Dear Seniors,
How do I decide which parameters to include for analyzing employee training in the apparel manufacturing industry involved in the production of national and international branded apparel? I need guidelines! I am unsure where to begin.
Thanks and regards,

Dear Neelam,
Compare the two companies, say 'X' and 'Y', on the following counts (for the last 3 financial years):
a) Number of hours of training per employee per financial year
b) Breakup of training hours; i.e., what percentage is technical, non-technical, etc.
c) Breakup of training hours; i.e., what percentage for top management, managers, non-managers, etc.
d) Breakup of training hours for in-house trainers and external trainers
e) Breakup of training budget; i.e., what training expenditure against (i) total employee cost and (ii) total revenue
f) Breakup of training expenditure against (i) hiring trainers, (ii) tools, instruments, and study material, (iii) TA/DA to the participants
Hope the above information is sufficient.
Thanks,
Dinesh Divekar

Thank you for your reply, Mr. Dinesh Divekar. Although I have been able to get a clearer picture, I realize that I may not have been entirely clear in explaining the real issue. I am currently working on a project that involves comparing the hands-on job skills of employees. Specifically, the comparison is between a national brand apparel manufacturer in the Delhi NCR market and an international apparel brand manufacturer targeting the same market.
Objective of the Analysis
The analysis aims to identify any differences in the training provided to employees in these two distinct manufacturing units. This comparison will help highlight any training deficiencies that may exist in either the Indian brand's manufacturing employees or those of the international brand.
Main Objective
The main objective is to uncover disparities in the training of employees between the two units that cater to the same market and offer the same product, in this case, men's trousers.
