A Horrible Fact About KFC

KFC has been a part of our American traditions for many years. Many people, day in and day out, eat at KFC religiously. Do they really know what they are eating? During a recent study of KFC done at the University of New Hampshire, they found some very upsetting facts. First of all, has anybody noticed that just recently, the company has changed their name?

Kentucky Fried Chicken has become KFC. Does anybody know why? We thought the real reason was because of the "FRIED" food issue.

Hey Vishal,

Most of the members wouldn't have tasted KFC; it's booming in Bangalore. The fact is real. For that matter, i.e., 6-7 years ago, there were more allegations that KFC was using a chemical ingredient that is bad for health. There were lots of strikes by local poultry farmers regarding this, but it yielded nothing in favor of the local poultry farmers. KFC continued to do their business. It's all about money power and a blind inclination towards the western lifestyle. They will survive for a longer time to come. :)

Hi Scarecrow,

It's something new to hear about KFC, but let's see the bigger picture. In today's world, we have ready-made food available. From traditional MTR tiffin room, all ingredients for a recipe are cooked and stored in a sealed pack that can last for a year from the date of packaging. It's commonly available at all departmental stores. We can't help it as we need everything done fast, ultimately saving time.

Similarly, a more advanced version of fake chicken is grown in KFC poultry. Whether you like it or not, this is the way chicken could be made in the future. :( :( :(

Rightly said, buddy! About KFC, being a Bangalorean, I have seen all this and even tasted KFC a couple of times. Presently based in Kuwait and just had a small get-together with colleagues at KFC Kuwait. Happened to read your article on the same last week, and I don't think I am going to eat KFC again! Thanks for enlightening us.

I'd be really careful with this kind of posting.

You say you aren't out to defame anybody, yet the comments you post are defamatory, at least from the perspective of KFC. You also present the posting as fact - even if you don't state this but the posting you are passing on does - you are an accessory to the activity. Unless you can present the facts, it is not a fact.

I'm not sure what your reasons for posting this are - it appears on the face of it to be hostile towards KFC. I don't happen to be a big customer of KFC or fast food in general, but please think about the image you are portraying here.

Finally, is this the kind of posting to place on an HR specific forum? There's a place for humor, and maybe the subject matter here can be presented in a more humorous manner, at least then you couldn't be accused of being defamatory, no matter what your claims.

I really hope you (or the CITEHR website!) don't become the subject of legal action.

Kind regards,

Martin
