Is there any timeline for submitting an application for the withdrawal of the PF amount after leaving the service? An application was rejected with the reason that the person is not eligible for the withdrawal benefit. Please help...

In the case of superannuation and going abroad, you may submit an application for PF immediately after leaving service. In other cases, you have to wait for two months.
At present, there is no maximum time limit to submit the application. However, EPFO has decided to disallow interest on non-operative accounts from the 37th month onwards. This will come into force from 1.4.2011.
The term "withdrawal benefit" used above may refer to the contribution to the Pension Fund. Those who have a service of less than 6 months and equal to or more than 9 years and 6 months are not eligible for the withdrawal benefit.
