Dear all,
Nowadays, I am getting some emails from anonymous/fake names that they found me on CITEHR, which seems to be fraudulent. This is just to cheat people. See, friends, how great we are! This site is not only informative for us but also for the fraudulent and fake-minded ones. Great!
One of those emails from "Mena Morgan" <menna4real@att.net> to undisclosed recipients reads:
"How are you, friend? I am just a lonely girl, and I am happy to write to you from www.citehr.com because I want to discuss with you how you can assist me in getting my inheritance that is in a bank. Please write back as soon as you read this email for more discussions. Thank you."
BEWARE OF SUCH EMAILS. AVOID RESPONSE.

Hi, where did you get this message? On your personal email? If yes, then block them or ignore. If you are getting this kind of message through your CiteHR account, then please disclose the names of the members and request the moderator to block them.
There is not much to do, but I can understand your situation and agree that there are numerous people who are doing this with their fake identities and always ready for mischief. The best solution is to ignore and block them from this place and from our personal emails.

Thank you, CRK, for the post. It amazes me that people still keep putting their email IDs on CiteHr in response to adverts or seeking people to post attachments to their private email IDs. Have a nice day.

Hello CRK,
That was nice of you to alert everyone. But it only goes to prove that CiteHR is indeed going places :-) None would bother with a nondescript website. All we can do is to take the necessary precautions. Whether we like it or not, that's how life is. Someone invents a great thing (in this case, the Internet) — bang, there's another who figures out a way to misuse it.

Yes, Mr. Anil. I do know and will always avoid this kind of emails. This is just to make other members aware of these. The solution as of now is to just block the ids and mark it as spam, but it flows in continuously with different ids, maybe from the same person or different identities. So, just blocking and not responding is the best way.
Thanks & Regards

Yes, even I received these types of emails. I would suggest not mentioning your cell number or email IDs while giving your views on CiteHR. I don't know whether I am right or wrong. Hope this will help.

There is no harm in receiving the emails. But if you think it is spam, report it to the mailing host or block the address to stop receiving mail in your inbox.

Dear Surendra,
Thank you for your feedback and response. However, please remember that some emails may harm our system just by opening the email or downloading the email attachment. Remote access or hacking can happen through that. It happens and has happened.
Nevertheless, the same message is being conveyed by all and to all to report spam, block, or just delete the email if it is found to be sent by an unknown, anonymous, or irrelevant sender.

Dear CRK, I respect your views.
The emails are bad only if you fail to recognize them. It does not matter from whichever source (even other than Cite HR) they come. Unless the source is recognized, one should not touch them, and delete them without a pause.
Moreover, the mail clients are these days equipped with a host of goodies to scan the emails that are spam, threat, and virus-laden. You can also switch on the add-ons for further safety. The firewalls and the virus scanner are also helpful.
Emails are a threat only when you are careless. Otherwise, it is a wonderful tool for communication and information sharing.
