Can somebody please give me the names of the universities that are still taking admission for Ph.D. in management or OB or Psychology. That would be a great help indeed.

Hi,
All the universities that offer PG courses in Management and Psychology accept students for a PhD, provided they have qualified guides. What exactly is your query? Have you missed the enrollment for a specific year?
It is required that you appear for a national entrance test conducted by the UGC to enroll yourself as a research scholar. Upon passing this test, you may approach relevant universities. A PhD in OB can be pursued as a part of management or as a part of Psychology as well.
PhD programs can also be undertaken through distance education at universities like Anna University and Karnataka Open University.

Sir,
Thank you so much for your reply. Yes, I have already appeared for UGC NET, but to be on the safer side, I want to know what the sessions are for admission to a Ph.D. If I want to be admitted this year, can I still do it, or have I missed the chance? OB comes under psychology, as gathered by me from Jamia University, so can I take it as a separate subject? What is the process and dates for enrollment in a Ph.D.? Please clear this up.
Thanks,
Vinita

Hi,
1) Usually, after achieving the requisite qualifying marks in the NET, you need to have a list of three or four problems on which you would like to conduct research and approach the university of your choice. Also, the individual universities publish entries for PG and PhD courses annually. You can obtain this information from their press publications or the UGC site, although the data available on the site is very limited.
2) When applying for a PhD, the university will assign a guide, and the selected problems need to be finalized with your guide. The topic must be registered as a PhD study topic with UGC through your guide and the university.
3) You also need to create a synopsis of the subject to explain why this study is necessary.
4) PhD sessions typically commence with the academic year of the university. In some universities, registration is ongoing throughout the year, while for others, it lasts from June to December.
5) Organizational Behavior (OB) is a broad subject, and you need to choose a specific problem or subject within OB. For example, "Cognitive dissonance - a study of labor grievances in the engineering industry" or "Impact of family adjustment problems on workplace performance - a study of textile workers."
Hope the information is helpful.
Kind regards and best wishes for your research.
