Dear All,
My company has just established a liaison office in New Delhi. We have been advised that we should basically follow the codes of the New Delhi Shop and Establishment Act 1954 as general directions to draft our staff's working terms and conditions.
Is there anyone who has the completed articles about the New Delhi Shop and Establishment Act in full range? Does the company have any liability for immediate termination if we find out that the hired staff's performance doesn't satisfy during the probation period? Please be kind enough to advise on what you realize about this matter.
Thank you very much.

Dear Maria,
As my company also follows the Shop & Establishment Act 1954 in Delhi. However, you do not need to register your company under this act because since 1989, this act is not applicable in Delhi. Nevertheless, you will have to comply with the rules and regulations mentioned in the act. Initially, start using the Attendance Register, i.e., Form H, Rule No. 14 Part 1.
Please visit the site labour.delhigovt.nic.in for more information, and you can contact at the following address:

You can find this act and rules on the net as well on the Delhi government website. There you can get the details about various processes.
First, you need to get registration under the act and then follow the systems as per rules such as attendance, leave, and returns as prescribed.
If you have any particular query, you can email me at rupeshsharmain@yahoo.com. I will be happy to extend my help.
