Dear All,

In a typical manufacturing industry setup, who is the right person to approve/sanction leave for the employee? Is it the HOD, the Factory Head, or the HRD department? What is the role of each person in sanctioning leave?

Expecting replies from you all.

Suresh

I think the immediate supervisor of the manager will be the suitable person to sanction the leave because he would know the status of his subordinate's work. The HR department has only an administrative role in leave.

Dear SSCBE, In a factory, it is already defined the authorities to sanction leave. If there is no such practise then, Dept. Head is the sanctioning authority for the concern authority. Deepak
