Hello seniors,
I just received an appointment for an interview from a company named Nest Software Solutions for an HR Executive position. I am a fresher, and I searched about the company online but couldn't find their homepage. When I asked the reception, they advised me to walk in at the time of the interview, and they would provide the necessary information. I am concerned whether it's a fake company because why wouldn't they reveal their website? The company is located in Coimbatore. Please help.

Hi Akhil,
If you reside in Coimbatore, you can give an interview, etc., go to their office, but don't give any money. Even if they ask for 10 rupees for a stamp, don't give that. However, if you live away from Coimbatore, then I think there's no need.

Dear Akhil,
Many small companies don't have their website, so there's nothing much to worry about. You can go for the interview once and get information about the company as well. Going there once doesn't mean you are supposed to join, so what's the harm in going once (if it's not far from your place)?
If you get a good profile and the company is good, you can even join there for the time being (if you are actively seeking and in need) and then change when you get a good opportunity.

Hi Akhil,
I agree that many small companies don't have their websites. However, if you have to relocate for this position, I don't think it's worth joining. What if it shuts down its operations in Coimbatore? On the other hand, if you reside in the same city, there is no harm in joining the company. As you are a fresher, at least you would get industrial exposure.

My company is 12 years old, but we got our website just 4 years back. So, it doesn't link to the stability of the company. When you go for an interview, just try to have a look around if the company has any registrations done. For example, the companies coming under the Shops & Establishment Act have to display their certificate at the entrance or reception, etc. So, try to gather more information about the company. As you are a fresher, the brand name doesn't matter much. However, the website may be under construction or the reception staff may not be well trained. Try to search on the internet as much as possible.

Irrespective of whether the company is fake or not, every candidate should go for a physical interview. If the candidate has genuine knowledge and experience, he/she should also be able to judge the health of the company in terms of his/her field of job.
In my experience, there are companies that are very weak in some fields, and working in such a company is quite challenging, regardless of whether the company is ranked number one overall.

Hi Akhil, why are you taking it so seriously? If you couldn't reach the web homepage, you can visit them as they asked you or as other members have suggested, or else you need to apply for more jobs. Don't rely on this single job and take it seriously. This is not the only job you can go with; there are numerous options waiting for you in the market.
Perhaps you couldn't find the right path or the correct web address of the company, or maybe they don't have a website because they are a small organization. What is the nature of this company? Have they contacted you on their own, or did you apply for this job by yourself? If they have contacted you, have you inquired about the work area/nature of the company and other details?
I would suggest you to just calm down and think about it. You have two things to do now:
1. You have to visit them, attend your interview, and inquire about the company and details. You will get all the answers yourself.
2. You have to apply for more jobs and wait for opportunities while working on improving your skills so that you can perform your best in future interviews.
Best of Luck
