Hi friends, Any workman earning 23000/- per month and working in the ESIC notify area. He will be covered under WC policy. I want to know what the sum will be insured for him and how it will be calculated.

An employee getting Rs 23000 per month would obviously be out of ESI coverage. He should be covered under the workmen compensation policy. You can include his details also in the Policy (existing) and pay the required premium. If you do not have a policy right now, in order to get one, please contact the LIC office. The sum assured will depend upon the age and salary. The salary, anyway shall be capped at Rs 15000. Since the compensation payable is based on the age factor, there is no specific sum assured individually. You can get a quotation with the details of employees provided.
