Happiness lies deep within us, in the very core of our being. Happiness does not exist in any external object, but only in us, who are the consciousness that experiences happiness. Though we seem to derive happiness from external objects or experiences, the happiness that we thus enjoy in fact arises from within us.

Dear Khalid Munzali and B Jacob,
Your posts are laudable.
I too subscribe to the view that happiness has to searched from within.
People who have a contented frame of mind knowing their limitations and desires
derive happiness by their proactive thinking. Past does not disturb them.
The thought of Future does not threaten them.
The thought of Present is pleasant to them.

Dear Mr Jacob,
Thank you for your quick appreciation.
The second sentence should read ....... has to be searched..... instead of .... has to searched.
The inadvertent error is regretted.
