In our organisation we have E-induction, we put everything on CD & give it to employee to go through it. However please find attached document with checklist for things you need to do/ consider for induction.

Hi Nisha,
You can arrange for some welcome gifts like cookies, pen, penholder etc.
You can also arrange some kind of ice-breaking games for new joinees.
At the end of induction you can ask them to explain their impression about the company, about induction program, through a presentation (if time permit) or jotted down their views on a chart paper.

Hi Nisha,
Here are the few guidelines for organizing induction program
1. Introduction
- conducting this in a differnt way like making the participants in groups and have one person give the introduction of other.
- Conducting some fun games/Ice breaking session
2. Overview of the company
3. HR process and policies - growth for an individual in the company etc.,
4. Accounts and Taxation
5. Do's and Don't
6. Security related information(If the company is following standards like ISMS)
7. Other process orientated information
Please let me know if you need any further informaton.
Thanks

Dear Nisha,

I would like to let you know few induction practices that we follow at our company:

1. Welcome on board email - This would be send with the new joiners photograph and a short note about him/her. This would be prepared by HR and will be sent by our CEO personally addressing the new joiner copying the entire organization.
2. At the mid of the induction session, we would introduce the new comer to other employees and allow him to socialize.
3. The induction programme is divided into 2 session - 1 would involve intro to company history, services etc and the next is HR session wherein he/she would be explained on policies, fun practices etc. We conduct small quiz at end of each session.
4. We ensure that our CEO would meet the new joiner on his/her joining date and have a discussion so that he/she would feel important.

I am not sure of the size of your organisation and the number of new joiners who would be joining on a specific date. If it is a big group ice breaking session would be of very useful.

All the best

My sincere thanks to everyone who had given me the idea of induction.I am proud to be a member of Cite HR.
I wish I could get more inputs on the induction of teachers of a school with almost 5 teachers join in every year.
