Hi All,
In our company we have given labour supply contract to different contractor.As per our requirement they have to supply the labour .Now problem is for weekly off/paid holiday matter.Who will get paid holiday?Either any workmen who work contineous for six day or present one day before or after paid holiday.please help me.

Dear Mantu71
Weekly off days are governed by the Minimum Wages Act, Factories Act or State Shops Act etc. & Holidays are governed by the Industrial Establishment ( National & Festival and Casual & Sick Leaves) Act or the State Shops Act, therefore , first examine the status of applicability of the different labour laws & then go through these provisions for taking necessary action in the matter.

Weekly off is applicable to them, but not paid (26 days calculation). In case of Holiday like 15th Aug, 26th Jan Etc they must present one day before of after the Holiday.
