Hi to all. I am currently conducting research on Return on Investment (ROI) in training and development, as well as on Training and Development (T&D) audits. I have read about the ROI process model and I want to know if any of you have incorporated it in your respective organizations. Is it fruitful? What are the challenges? Are there any case studies or examples that you have come across? Any information that you can provide me with will be greatly appreciated.

Also, I am unable to find a lot of data on T&D audits. If any of you have done a project on it, please forward the same to me. Your help on the above research is invaluable. I am looking for prompt feedback.

Great to know that you are working on a project related to ROI and training audit. I am attaching a document here that will help you in determining the ROI of training. Based on my experience, calculating ROI for training is more beneficial for programs that directly impact productivity, such as function-based training. However, for soft skills and behavioral training, calculating ROI can be a complex task as it requires continuous monitoring to observe changes in employees' behavior. Many organizations are not willing to invest the time and effort required for this.

Regarding the Training and Development (T&D) audit, it involves a compliance check on the processes and policies established for the T&D division.
