Hello friends, this is Shweta from Bombay.
According to me, a real challenge an HR person can face is to implement HR in a startup organization. The planning, processes, people, and the capital aspects are just too much. I have a challenging task at my hand, and it is a part of my assignment.
I request all the HR professionals to contribute to the topic of what statutory requirements are to be met when a startup has to implement HR, what documents and laws to be covered, and how should the planning start. In short, we all can compile a comprehensive list. I am sure this will help all the HR aspirants as well as professionals too.

Hi Shweta,
I have explained about an HR role in a startup company to a different member who raised a similar question. The time taken for implementing new ideas is solely dependent on your boss. Practically speaking, any startup company would not give much importance to HR in the initial stages of their growth. Once the company has a minimum employee strength of 30, they come to realize the real need for an HR, as at the startup stage, it involves mostly administrative tasks. Anyway, you have asked about the roles to perform. To be more specific, you need to specify the field you are currently working in because issues in a software company differ from those in other traditional businesses.

Hi,
According to me, the most challenging aspect for an HR person is to create an environment in which the minds vibe together. Each one has their own mindset and their preferences also differ. This could be due to various reasons like the background from where they come from, their principles, etc.
As an HR person, we are entrusted with the responsibility of managing and developing people. This would mean you also need to understand them and their needs. Especially, one would face challenges in managing people's thought process during times of mergers, acquisitions, or layoffs.
I have not faced this situation in my career so far, but I have heard about it from other fellow members on this forum and realized how tough it would be for them.
