First, read about HR practices in books or, preferably, journal articles. Also, search CiteHR for previous postings.
Answer the question: why are you doing the project? Is it for a degree? If so, at what level: BBM, MBA, etc.
Also, see my posts on Research Methodology and MBA Projects, and also posts by Ash Mathew, Leo Lingham, Ankit Chaturvedi, etc., at CiteHR.
Also, discuss the issue with your academic guide if you are a student.
