Hello everybody,

I have a summer project where I have to compare the onboarding process of service providing organizations like Infy, Wipro, Accenture, Symphony, and HCL. Could anybody help me out with this?

I also need to make a comparative analysis after finding the onboarding process along with the cost.

I have to create a feedback questionnaire for the new employees who have joined after 2 days, 15 days, and 3 months. I need everyone's help.

The onboarding process should start as soon as the employee is hired (it will also improve the rate of joining).

Before Joining

Smoothen the process - give one point of contact for all queries, a buddy scheme will be a great help. You can invite the employee & spouse for a dinner with the reporting manager or buddy, even before the employee joins (especially for senior positions).

If hiring in large numbers, especially campus recruitments (create a Yahoo group where they can discuss, the moderator can be a current high-performing employee a couple of years senior).

On the day of joining

Provide an orientation if induction is scheduled in batches. The buddy should be there to provide a basic introduction & answer queries ranging from the location of the washroom to where to have lunch & the work culture of the company. The new employee should be guided at least for the first month. HR & Manager should follow up with the employee from time to time (1st day, End of the 1st week & at the end of the 1 month).

KRA's should be set & the appraisal process explained during this month.

After 3 months, take feedback.

Providing induction in separate batches should include information regarding the office campus such as cafeteria location, security procedures, company policies, and introduction of business units, especially transport, health safety, facilities, housekeeping, payroll, travel, mailrooms, and guest relations teams. This will help employees approach the right teams effectively.
