Hi, I am pursuing an MBA in HR, and I wanted to know the names of some good books that can add a new perspective to my learning. When I say good books, I mean those that can acquaint me with the effect of globalization on HR, how Indian companies have to modify their policies and procedures keeping in view the global impact. Apart from this specific topic, if someone knows of any recently published books on HR, please do let me know.

Hi Keshika,

These three authors are worth reading:

Dave Ulrich - three books: Human Resource Champions, Delivering Results, and Tomorrow's HR Management.

William J. Rothwell's - work planning review.

Anton Obholzer: The Unconscious at Work: Individual and Organizational Stress in the Human Services by Anton Obholzer.

As far as Indian authors are concerned, unfortunately, there are no active researches undertaken in India to publish books like the above. Dr. T V Rao's books would be sufficient.

Regards,
Rajat

Colleagues,

I am pursuing my Postgraduate Studies in HR. I kindly request if anyone can send me a downloadable version of "Armstrong M (2003) A Handbook of Human Resource Management. London, Kogan Page." My main area of interest, to be specific, is PART II Chapter 7: pp. 103 - 127.

I shall appreciate your quick response for my assignment submission on Friday.

Good day to you all,

Farida
