Hi friends,
I m agree with the comments of Mr. Pankaj, company entertain the employee's with leave policy or other...
if compnay entertain the employee's in duty timing for their personal work, most of them will take the time who would not need in real.
Employee's should have manage the time to do their work to use the facilities like short leave or leave which not effect on job.

yiikkeeess..arey yaar...yeh kya baat hai....Nahhhh..no male/female differences...Actually I meant("nice to know that a male has said so...") that generally men easily dont admit in public that they need time for personal work though they regret within..thet always remark that they loads of work, tooooo busy for all these or these are secondary etc etc....on the contrary females keep brooding that they need time for their personal work..hope you got it right now!!!
And one more thing to add for everybody....."BE IT AN EMPLOYER OR AN EMPLOYEE, EVERYBODY FACES THE SAME SITUATION" So, instead of talking it from an employer,employee,HR,s/w ,h/w blah blah point view...discuss it as an individual what we really try to do in our practical lives...so that it might be helpful for others too..
And as far as VAFI goes we need support from as many as MEN to show the society that they also care for their women...its not that men are women enemies in this case..even women are each others foe....so irrespective gender...WE NEED TO JOIN HANDS

Hi Ravi,
We believe Ash has valid and immpeccable point that as per working hours, we all are supposed to work 8 hours in the day.
Ravi, our company provides the solution to this problem by allowing 4 late comings in one month, but we are eligible of arriving by 11.30 only and after that we are being marked as a late.
As far as these bouteous policies are concerned, we perceive we are also being provided casual leave and we can wind up our personal work on that day.
But yes, everyone has its own prospective.

Hi Ravi,
I would say that my company's policies are very employee friendly.
Being an HR you can suggest these points to management.
So far we have not had any problems with these policies:
1. we used to mark latecomings till 11am. after 11am its half day.
2. till 3 latecomings per month, no salary deduction. on 4th late- half day salary deduction.
3. you can take "early departure" as many as required and no salary will be deducted but it will be taken a note while doing appraisals.
I hope it might work.

You have not responded properly against the questions and feelings raised by other CiteHR friends previously. On the same way, hou you want to share your feelings/ topics with others. Anything must be in "give and take " way.

My Gosh, which company gives time for personal work?????? I really would like to join this firm.....:p......... But trust me, this shouldn't be applicable as an employeer cannot pay d employees for personal work... and employees then would just need a reason to start throwing tantrams.......:icon2:.........
Anyways this is my personal view, after being an HR for more than 4 yrs.....
Cheers to all.........

Hi Ravi,
Your concern for the well being of the employees is appreciable.
Without a satisfied personal life, employees cannot function effectively.
Personal work which needs the presence of the employee has to be done by him only and hence he can be short leave or permission to leave in between or early. (like attending a parents' meet at school)
Paying phone bills, etc. which can be done by anyone, can be entrusted to any one junior cadre employee by making some arrangements in the department / office or engage an outside agency.
e-pay can be introduced wherever possible. Using credit card is best way to pay in time. One need not be rich to have a credit card.
Management can make arrangement for attending to the personal work of employees so that he can concentrate more on his work and contribute more.
