Hi! I am a student of BMS. I am doing a project on designing job descriptions and KRAs. I don't know where to start from, what all to include. I have already prepared my job descriptions but my KRA now is KRA :) Please help, it's worth 100 marks.

Hi Sasha,
Well, since you have your JDs ready, you are almost halfway through. When writing KRAs, please keep in mind not only the JDs but also the KPAs (Key Performance Areas). For example, one of the KPAs for a Recruiter would be Recruitment. KRAs would be like:
1. Identify potential candidates through surveys and searches.
2. Maintain a database of those candidates.
3. Network with customers for their requirements and feedback.
4. Match suitable candidates to respective jobs.
...and so on (this is for a recruiter in a placement company).
Since I handle 13,000 employees nationally with a central team of 15 persons, the KRAs I would set would be different. For more details, I could be reached via email: j_anz@rediffmail.com.
