How are you doing?

I am working with a BPO, and we are all facing the problem of a recession. We would like to conduct an English test and aptitude test for existing employees and candidates as well.

In the English test, I would like to assess whether they are able to understand English properly or not, and if they can solve customer queries at least.

In the aptitude test, I would like to present different situations. If a situation arises, how will you solve a customer query? If there is personal work or a festival, and you have to work at the office, what will you do? We are looking for dedicated individuals in our office. If anyone has other ideas, they can share them.

If anyone has a similar test, it would be a great honor for me.

I suggest that the best thing you can or should do is to create a test yourself. Don't worry about the format and content; just put in whatever ideas you have and post it here for others to modify and improve. This way, you will also learn a lot, and others can get some good practice. Only if you agree with me, otherwise, someone will certainly post something for you.

But do let me know if you need my help in formatting any documents for you!

Hello,

Thank you for your prompt reply. I am preparing myself as well. I need your help too. I will accumulate all and prepare a summary. I am the only person handling HR for 600 employees, and cost-cutting is necessary. I want to prepare a qualitative test and explore other better ideas. By doing so, we can attract the best CSR and other talented individuals for different departments. I would also like to conduct the test for existing employees.

We are currently facing a tough situation as existing employees are struggling to solve customer queries effectively due to lack of qualifications. Some of them are pursuing Masters or Bachelor's degrees, while others are working at night for extra income. They seem unfocused on their work, and we may need to terminate some of them.

Another issue we are encountering is the difficulty in attracting qualified individuals for the vacancies. Please provide good suggestions along with a qualitative test to address these challenges.

Besides following Sumit's suggestion, let me add: First of all, develop a passion to learn. Your ego should not be hurt if I say that there are a lot of mistakes in your posting itself. For example, "weather" for "whether." There are many grammatical mistakes. I am only highlighting this not just to point out mistakes but to help you improve. How will you learn if you don't know your mistakes?

Take an easy grammar book and learn how to use verbs with respect to nouns. Understand how to use singular and plural forms and how to relate them to subject nouns. For example, you used "test of existent employees" instead of "for existing employees." It is okay if you have deliberately done it for fun.

Keep learning and improving!
