Hi,
I have 3+ years of experience in HR and am currently working with a software company in Mumbai. I am interested in finding out if there are any good institutes in Mumbai that offer part-time training in SAP. I would like to continue working while also receiving training in SAP (HR).
Can anyone please help me with this?
Thanks and Regards,
Lakshmi

Dear Lakshmi,
I am interested in doing the SAP course in the MM Module. After collecting lots of info, I came to know there are two authorized institutes for SAP, i.e., Genovate and Siemens, and the fees they are charging are very high, i.e., approximately 2.5 Lacs. It's difficult for one to shell out the budget.
I just read your blog on CITHER. You have mentioned that Reliance and SAPIENT are also conducting courses in SAP. I would appreciate it if you could forward the details, phone number, and email address of these institutes to me.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
SP

Dear,
Can you please tell me where Spient is located in Mumbai and where the Reliance Institute in Mumbai is for SAP? I came to know that NM College also provides SAP, but upon inquiry, I found out that they do not offer anything in SAP.
I am so frustrated; I am unable to find the phone numbers and addresses of Sapient College in Mumbai, NM to confirm if they provide SAP, and Reliance Institute to check if they offer SAP training.
Please shed some light on this.
Thanks & Best Regards,

Hey Mate,
As you have mentioned that you have 3 years of Functional Experience, it's better you do the full-time course, i.e., Certification. Yes, the course fee is high, but it will be a good investment. If you are doing the SAP HR course from outside, I don't think it will help you much (as 99% of them won't get you the job and won't cover 100% of the topics). It's not easy to get into SAP HR, so if you go for certification, you can be on the safer side.
One more thing, if your company is into SAP, talk to them about whether you can be moved into that. If that's the case, prefer doing the SAP course from recognized companies (once you move into SAP, you can get in-house training as well).
Hope this will help you.

Hi Lakshmi,
The SAP market is hot, but that doesn't mean everyone who has done training will land up in good companies.
In the SAP platform, keep one thing in mind: "Nobody looks into which company you work for, but people look into what all projects you have done." In SAP, implementation, upgradation, rollouts, maintenance, and support projects are there. The first three things add value to your CV, and the last two... no one looks into that.
Your long-term career depends on the start you get. Be patient and wait for the chance. Because no one needs freshers; they want experienced chaps.
If you are doing certification, they will assist in placements. But then again, it depends on the demand in the market and your ability to crack the interview.
Cheers,
Nidhin Jacob
