MIS stands for Management Information System. A bank statement can also be called an MIS. This is a consolidated representation of facts and figures for a particular period. For example, an MIS on recruitment will give you a quick glance at the current status, such as which vacancies are open, which have been filled, how many are pending, what costs have been incurred, etc. Similarly, an MIS on any topic can be generated with the aim of providing maximum information.
