Hi friends,
Presently, I am working with a company as an HR Executive. One of my friends got a job in the UK as a Senior Sales Executive at Marks & Spencer Industries Plc UK without any interview, just by sending an email. They sent me an Offer Letter and an Appointment Letter and asked for a sum of Rs. 70,000/- for Visa and Work Permit. Is it believable or not? Can we proceed with that? Please give me suggestions.

There are reports of fake offers sent from abroad, and candidates have been cheated after paying huge sums for permits, job visas, licenses, etc. In an employment market with very tight competition, where employers have numerous alternatives, why should an employer appoint someone without interviewing them and without knowing in detail their capabilities to perform the work? Ponder on this and thoroughly inquire about the offer to ensure that the employer in the UK/USA had no other choice but to appoint your friend for the position.
I used to receive emails stating that I had won some UK lottery! However, I would promptly delete such messages.

Hi Ranjith,
I don't think any companies would take a candidate without interviewing. At least they will have some telephonic rounds. Whatever it's advisable that before paying, think and act. To whom are you paying, and whether it's a genuine offer or not? Think and decide.

Just search the net for the actual website of this company and get the company's phone numbers, email address, contact person, etc. Try talking to the company officials directly regarding such a vacancy and this appointment. Only if you are convinced should you think further.
Mostly in such cases, the companies themselves might not know about such frauds taking place in their name.

Hi Ranjith, how are you doing? I don't agree with that proposal. Just inform him to reduce your commission in my salary package! It's better to communicate like that to make them notice their mistakes. Don't trust anyone easily. Take care.

Hi Ranjith!
Do not accept these kinds of offers! I am regularly receiving emails like this, and sometimes they contain viruses as well. Try to ask them for their address and other information. Also, tell them to pay all these initial payments, which can be deducted from their salary after joining the organization.

Find out mail address or phone numbers try reaching them before taking a decision. It seems to be a fraud case but better confirm before ignoring.
Hi Ranjith,
Marks and Spencer is a very big retail chain, and they don't hire anyone without conducting an interview. The recruitment department shortlists the candidates even for temporary jobs. I have dealt with them in the past, so please ignore that email.

Hi!!
This is a fake job. I have seen that email as one of my students also received it. If you see the email address, it's something like
MNCs, especially M&S, will have their own domain. Check out the email addresses of any MNC companies; it will be something like this: (name/dept)@companyname.com. Moreover, visa and travel expenses are incurred by the company.

Dear Ranjith,
This is a fake offer. They ask you to deposit money in their bank account. If you deposit, that's all over. This instant happened with one of my friends. He also believed such offers and deposited money in a bank account. After several phone calls and messages, there was no response from them. He filed a complaint.
The moral of the story is...

Hi Ranjith,
Have you tried calling them? If you have called, do they stick to the same story? They may be using a net phone from the UK, connected to the internet in India. This suggests that the individuals perpetrating the fraud are based in India. Additionally, they issue the offer letter directly from the server. Do not trust it.
This offer seems to be associated only with Times Jobs. It appears that Times Jobs is engaging in unethical practices by sharing our databases. I recommend removing our resume from Times Jobs. We need to stand up against Times Jobs; their actions are causing harm to many individuals. Let's start a movement against them.
Thank you.

Hi,
This is certainly a scam. My cousin was offered a job as the marketing manager of a leading bank in Europe and was asked to pay 1.25 Lacs for processing of Visa and other documents. When he contacted the company through their website, they told him that they weren't hiring for such a position and that there are agents who are duping people of their money by offering them jobs that don't exist.
If you want, please report this offer to the company concerned so that they can initiate legal action against the sender in their home country.
Regards, VA.

Hey, this is completely fake. If offers are being thrown around so easily, then why is the world going crazy for a good offer?
Ask your friend to reply, "Try it on someone else. I am not one of yours, i.e., a fool." Okay. :icon10:

Generally, these are fake companies. Maybe your friend can send them an email stating that the visa fees, etc., can be deducted from the salary in installments. If the requirement is genuine, they may accept. This helps everyone understand the status of the company.
Please let us have the feedback in case a mail is sent by your friend and the response from the CVO.

Please do not fall prey to such offers. Believe in your ability. You can always find a better paying job in India itself or elsewhere.
Hi Ranjith, No please. Recently in Bangalore newspaper there were issues of this printed. So, please be aware of all these fraudulous things happening before taking a leap. DG

It is totally fake. Please don't believe. Ask them that you are not going to pay Visa and Work Permit charges. Tell them to send you the Visa and Work Permit, and all the charges can be adjusted from your salary. They will never agree. Forget all these; the offer letter is fake.
