I don't have any idea about the ER scheme in an IT company, but I can share with you the ER scheme of a reputable FMCG company I'm associated with.

1. On the occasion of a vacancy, the requirement is posted on the company's portal, which is automatically visible to all existing employees through their HRIS login ID.

2. If they have any suitable candidates in their knowledge, they can post their CVs.

3. Now, when HR receives the CV, they post it instantly. If the candidate is selected through the normal selection process, the employee who referred him/her is informed about the selection.

4. After the probation period, if the candidate is confirmed, the referring employee is rewarded.

Today, most companies follow this scheme as it is cost-effective and very useful for employee engagement.
