Hi all,

The PF e-return software is not available free of cost and it can be developed by someone in public interest. When your company purchases Payroll software, all statutory challans, Annual/half-yearly returns, Tax calc, etc., are incorporated in it, totally no headache.

When a company is run by its management, it has to spend on essential software, and nothing comes free. So please go in for genuine software and as a responsible HR personnel, insist and advise your management to spend on the Payroll package.

Ok. As I told you, this one needs a little bit of knowledge on PF. How about using the attached excel templates for both ESI and PF. Pl. comment

Hi Edukondalu [7Hills],

Bonus calculation will be made on Basic Salary. Percentages are as follows: a minimum of 8.33% to a maximum of 20%.

Hitherto, the salary ceiling for eligibility of Bonus was Rs. 3,500/-, whereas the Bonus will be calculated at a maximum basic of Rs. 2,500/-. However, in October 07, an amendment has been promulgated by the government raising the eligibility ceiling to Rs. 10,000.

Dear friends,

Please correct/update me if I am wrong!!!

For your kind information, at present, the PF office is not accepting e-returns since the software is not working. I used to send e-returns for nine months. Recently, I received a letter from the PF office mentioning that the old system is to be followed, i.e., manual (challan, form 5, form 10, etc.). Business No., SSN No., etc., are also not required.

Hi Members!

I have seen a lot of requests posted for sharing a PF return software. As Mr. Chandrashekhar pointed out, there is nothing available for free download. One can buy a genuine payroll software that they can use and upgrade from time to time. The ones available for free are only trial versions and last only for a 7-15 day duration. Therefore, if payroll is genuinely a problem in your organization, then go in for software or outsource the same.

Hi all,

The EPF Department has not yet launched any e-filing system. They have only provided all the required formats on their website [EPFO](http://epfindia.com). Alternatively, individuals can visit the department, obtain the necessary form, fill it out, and submit it to the department for settlement. The department is obligated to process the claim form within 30 days of submission. If there is a delay, individuals have the option to escalate the issue to the PF Commissioner directly.

For further clarification, you may contact me at [indolegal1@gmail.com](EMAIL="indolegal1@gmail.com").

Thank you.

Hi friends,

I am from a manufacturing unit in Pune, and our records have been recently shifted to the new PF regional office in PCMC. Besides the expected mess, now the PF authorities have made it compulsory to file 3A & 6A in their new software either we give them CDs or file online. Our existing Excel data can be converted to the new software; however, I am foxed with the headings mentioned. The concerned officers do not bother to answer the phones, and it is really inconvenient to keep popping into their office. Can anyone explain to me the headings in this new software?

Thanks 😕

Dear Sir,

The department has asked to submit the annual returns on the CD. The data to be submitted should be in their software only, from which we need to take it on a CD and submit it to the PF office. Please guide me if the software download is available on the net.

Thanks,
Mrunal
