Hi,

I am a new member of this group. I have a query for which I am unable to find a solution. I have nearly 5 years of experience in recruitment, with 2 years in an IT company as an HR executive. Due to some unavoidable circumstances, I am supposed to stay back at home for a period of at least 6 months. My query is, will this affect my career growth? Will I be able to get a similar kind of job after 6 months when I apply?

Please let me know.

Sapna

Sapna,

You can always manipulate things a bit by saying you were a homeworker, i.e., instead of 10 placements every month in a full-time job, you were on a profit-sharing basis and had 2-3 joinings every month.

Dear Seniors,

I am a new member but need help desperately. I had everything going in my career for the last 6 years. I have experience in the insurance and banking sector. Due to some personal and professional reasons, I left my job at the end of last year. I was hoping that with my experience, it would not be difficult to find a new job. However, almost 10 months later, I still have not found a job to my liking. I have appeared for some interviews, but nothing materializes because the HR feels that I am not competent due to the gap.

I have even accepted a lower package and location. But honestly, the last three experiences have made me feel that HR only conducts interviews to pass time and cover up their assignments.

I am facing a huge problem and need some concrete help.

Dear All,

I worked in a KPO for 2 1/2 years. Then I planned to go abroad, but it fell through. After one year, I got another job, but the salary is less compared to my previous salary. Will it affect my career?

Raghu
