Hi all,

As I mentioned earlier, I am currently working in a private limited company in Mumbai and have been moved from the administration department to the HR department. It has become quite challenging for me to work with limited knowledge in this new role. I have tried to educate myself on the rules regarding leaves by reading books and online resources. Additionally, I consult the Shops and Establishments Act book for other staff-related requirements. However, this has not been sufficient to meet the necessary standards. I am eager to gain comprehensive knowledge in HR systems, but the primary issue I face is my office hours do not allow me to pursue a part-time diploma. As a married woman, attending weekend classes is also very difficult for me.

Can anyone recommend any online courses with certification, or distance learning diploma programs in HR or any course related to labor management available in Mumbai? Please provide me with information.

Thanks and Regards,
Rupali

Hi all,

I have completed Hotel Management and currently work in HRD at Aamby Valley City, Pune. I encounter numerous challenges in my role, prompting me to seek a diploma certificate in Human Resources.

Hi all,

My name is Sneha. I am a student and I have just completed my T.Y exams. I have done my T.Y in psychology and am planning to pursue a Master's in Psychology. However, I am also considering enrolling in a diploma program in HR from Welingkar University. The fact that it is not among the top 5 universities in Mumbai for HR studies makes me hesitant about applying to this university. Can anyone advise me on this decision?

Thank you.

C,

It's all about strategies... Let me be practical and explain. Doing an MBA through correspondence will not provide more weightage on your resume, so the best trade-off would be doing an executive MBA. I guess Welingkar offers the course, and it's pretty good.

S.O,

Don't worry much about college. If you're worrying so much, then Symbi in Pune would be a better option anytime.

I would advise going through Symbiosis College if pursuing correspondence. At the same time, please consider working simultaneously because in today's market, having experience is beneficial. If you have experience, it is reasonable to opt for correspondence education. However, if you lack experience and rely solely on your correspondence MBA to seek jobs, you may need to compromise on either salary or job designation. Regards, Vidisha

Hi,

As I said earlier, I am working in a private limited company in Coimbatore and was forcefully transferred to the HR department from the admin department. Now, it is very difficult for me to work without sufficient knowledge. I have studied a few rules on leaves by reading books or online. Additionally, I refer to the Shops & Establishment Act for other staff-related requirements. However, this is not up to the mark. I would like to gain full knowledge in HR systems.

Can anybody suggest any online courses with certificates or any correspondence courses/diplomas in HR or any other courses related to labor management based in Coimbatore? Please inform.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi,

I am a B.Tech undergraduate in Electronics with 9 months of experience in network administration, but I am no longer in the same job. I am actually interested in the HR field, but I don't have any knowledge about it. However, as I am currently in the USA on H4 visa, I am finding it difficult to decide on my career path. I need some guidance; do I need to take an online course or pursue a certification to gain knowledge in this field? I am truly passionate about working in HR. Please help me.

Hi Vinod,

I am also doing an MBA in HR through correspondence from IGNOU. This means it won't help me in getting better job options in the near future. Currently, I am working in a secretarial role, but I want to switch to HR.

Kindly suggest what I should do and how I can gain experience in HR if I really want to enter this field. How can I secure my first HR executive job, and what else should I do to prepare for this transition?

Thanks and regards,
Anjana

MBA is recognized by the UGC or AIU or Ministry, depending upon the college, institutes, and universities associated with recognition authorities. Whether you are pursuing the course through regular mode, distance, or correspondence, there is a difference between correspondence and distance modes of education. It is essential to check the recognition first before considering other factors.

Thanks,
Deb
