A warm good afternoon to all seniors,

This is my second query on this thread in the hope that people will respond, which has not happened with my first post. All it takes is just some minutes of yours to guide newbies like us. My query is that I have to design a questionnaire on the "Organisational structure of companies", the target would be the HR manager to whom these questions would be directed. I have made the questionnaire twice and have failed. Now I am seeking your expertise. Please help me out. I sincerely need help as this project has to be finished by next Monday.:icon5:

Hello friend,

I appreciate your concern. However, designing a questionnaire will depend on what outcome you expect. What specific information do you want from different organizations regarding their structure?

It may be worthwhile to consider the option of having interaction sessions without sending a standardized questionnaire on organizational structures.

You may include some of the questions given below (these are just a few suggestions):

- How is the business segmented? Is it a functional organization or a project organization? Is the structure conventional with a defined hierarchy, or is it a matrix-type organization?
- What are the success factors for the company's business, and how does the structure support these factors? For example, is cost leadership a success factor? If so, how does the structure ensure "Cost Leadership"? Is product leadership important? If so, how is the focus on developing new products/services, and how does the structure support acquiring new technologies/product development? If customer intimacy is a top priority, how is the customer service/customer care function organized?
- What are the measures of effectiveness of a structure? Sales revenue/staff, value addition/staff, or employee. How are interface issues resolved? Has the structure been able to support the growth of the organization? Has it been effective for scalability? Has the structure been reviewed and updated?

I hope these sample questions help you study a few organizations for their structure.

You can also gather information about structures from company websites.

Hi Atma,

I agree with Nishikant's suggestion. I wonder what course you are on and how many words project you have to submit. Have you done any literature survey to explain why what you are doing is important? Have you searched the websites using Google or other search engines?

By searching using your query as the search terms, I found this organisation structure + questionnaire + survey - Google Search

Within that, I found the following http://latrobe.edu.au <link updated to site home>.

The topic you have chosen is very wide, and you need to narrow it down to make effective and efficient progress, especially as you have not much time. Also, see the response I have given to others on project work, where I have attached a ppt file on Research Methodology.

Wish you all the best.

Good day to you all,

I have been assigned to conduct a project on the analysis of the leadership of an organization or department. First of all, I would like to know how to start the project. Additionally, I would like to understand how I can create a questionnaire related to this topic.
