I just discovered this site while I was browsing for information on Training and Development (T&D). Needless to say, it's awesome!

I've finished my first year of MBA and am currently working on my Summer Project. It's on designing course material for T&D workshops. The topics covered are Key Account Management, Customer Care in Organizations, Business Communication, Business Etiquette, and Cross-Cultural Management. Being a novice in this field, I find it pretty challenging to design material as per industry requirements and specifications. I would love to interact with people having experience in related areas of HR. And of course, it feels good to have a site solely dedicated to a field I am so passionate about. Hope the stay here is mutually beneficial.

Hi Zarine,

A grand welcome to citehr.com!!

"Just discovered this site while I was browsing for info on T&D. Needless to say, it's awesome!"

I'm glad you feel this way...even I discovered this site just the way you did!

Great topics you have chosen...by the way, do you have any field experience prior to the course? If not, then you have to do a lot of reading and thinking...also, observe the people who are the best in their jobs. Last week I was in Ludhiana for some work, and the B&F Manager in a hotel (where I was put up) was so decent and convinced us to try out the sweet dishes even though we were not keen. We were just charmed by his approach and smiling face...in fact, I invited him to address the staff on customer care. You know what he said... "I am passionate about my work! I keep thinking about how to ensure that the people who come to my restaurant enjoy the food and leave the hotel with a smile on their faces." That was his MISSION...

So observe and absorb...take lessons from all walks of life...

Even we look forward to that as well...to your thoughts and views...as this site is all about sharing knowledge...

Hi Rajat,

Thanks for the warm welcome!

"Great topics you have chosen....btw, do you have any field experience prior to the course? If not, then you have to do a lot of reading and thinking. Also, observe the people who are the best in their jobs. I don't have any prior experience in this field. I'm guided by my Subject Matter Experts who have been imparting training to organizations for over 15 years. Yes, I have read a lot by now! I have gone through nearly 30 books on the relevant topics. But nothing beats getting info from the people who are really into such things. It's very true, if one is passionate about something, it does make a difference in the approach. It's not just a job anymore; it becomes a way of life.

I will definitely post the essence of my modules here once I am done with them.

Hi Zarine,

Please find attached herewith a sample outline of KEY ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT. There are various types of KEY ACCOUNTS:

- CUSTOMER END-USERS [TISCO example]
- CHAIN STORES [FOODLANDS STORES example]
- SERVICE INDUSTRY [TNT SKYPAK]

I have developed a neutral one that can be easily modified. If you have difficulty downloading, please let me know your email. I can send it again.
