Hi there,

The breakdown of percentages is as follows:
- Basic = 45% of CTC
- HRA = 50% of Basic
- PF = 12% of Basic
- Ex-Gratia = 5% of CTC
- Medical = Maximum of 15000 per annum as per the guidelines from the IT department.
- Conveyance - The remainder amount (we can make it nontaxable by asking the employee to provide us with bills, and we can refer to it as reimbursements instead of an allowance).

Best Regards,

Sumit

Hi there,

I don't think it's required. In fact, CTCs are really confidential matters and should not form a part of any general document like an HR manual or an employee handbook. This should be communicated to the concerned employee only. You can list the grades as per the levels in the manual.

Sumit

Hi members, I would like to know what is meant by an annual CTC statement and what the format is. I was told that it's the statement of expenses an employee has incurred to the company and it's prepared at the end of the year. Can any of you help me out?

It's necessary to adhere to the stipulations under the respective state governments' notifications issued from time to time, category-wise. There are also, in some cases, bifurcations, especially in basic wages and DA components. Though there is no compulsion for every unit to follow the structure/components seriatim, it should be ensured that at least the sum total of all components taken together should not be less than the minimum stipulated therein and shall form the gross salary of everyone in that respective category(ies) paid periodically. In this respect, notifications issued by the respective governments should be followed.
