Hi, people,

Please shed some light on the various benefit packages that are offered in Indian BPOs. An example could be that of night allowance. What are the other allowances, and what are the actual benefits provided?

Hi Ram,

As far as I know, there aren't many special packages for BPO employees compared to those for regular employees. The two additional benefits offered to BPO employees are:

1) Special Allowance: This allowance is provided to them for working night shifts.
2) Voice Allowance: This allowance is for telephone callers or customer service representatives working on calls. This allowance is not applicable to BPO employees working on web-based processes.

These are the only special allowances that I am aware of for BPO employees. Please correct me if I have missed anything in this context.

Kiran

Hi Kiran,

That was indeed a prompt reply. But what are the other allowances that are given, not necessarily BPO benefits per se but are given in BPO companies. Also, is there any benchmarking data available regarding what is being practiced across organizations?

Ram
