Dear All,

I am working with a software company in Pune. As you are all aware, the attrition rate in IT is very high. In our company, the situation is the same. I want to give notice to the employees who have left the organization while still under a bond agreement. Can somebody guide me on how to deal with this situation? Also, please send me the format of the letter that should be given to the employees leaving under such conditions.

Dear SJ,

I will be glad to send you the format if it would work. We have tried out all these in a software company but it doesn't help. We have sought legal help too but found that a bond is of no help in retaining people, and basically, nothing can be done in the event of them leaving before the bond period. Yes, if you have mentioned any damages (relative to training) in the appointment/offer letter and the employee leaves during the training period, then you may claim that amount from him and nothing further. So, it's better to face the fact and seek out other means of retention.

Hi Sai,

Thanks for your reply. My major intention is not to retain those who have given notice or who have left, but to create deterrence in the minds of others regarding the same so they will be aware that management is decided to take action, that's it. If you have any format, please send it to me. Also, as you have mentioned that you have tried at your end, can you just give me the guidelines on how you are retaining such employees or retaining employees in general?

Notice Format for Employees Leaving While Under Bond

I am working with a software company in JSR. As you are all aware, the attrition rate in IT is very high. In our company, the situation is the same. I want to issue a notice to the employees who have left the organization while under the bond agreement. Could somebody please guide me on how to deal with such a situation and provide me with a format of the letter to be given to the employees leaving under these conditions?
