Dear Sir,

I have a doubt regarding the register to be maintained by the contractor if the number of employees engaged on the premises is less than 20 and the contractor does not possess a license. Could you please provide your suggestion on whether the contractor should maintain all registers (e.g., adult register, employment card, advance register, register of fines, etc.) in the same format as applicable in the Contract Labour Act?

Hello,

If you are in an Admin function in a manufacturing site and all contractors are providing manpower on site, they need to maintain all the details required by the labor office. During an inspection, it is necessary that you produce the details of the contractors as well.

One of my clients wants an inspection by the ESIC department. He is a contractor for industrial painting and epoxy painting. In this regard, what should be done and which records should be produced at the time of inspection with ESIC authorities?

Thanks and regards,
