Dear All,

Please find attached a PowerPoint presentation on Fish Philosophy and Fish Sticks. I would recommend everyone to read the book "Fish Philosophy" by Stephen Lundin. It's a great book on motivation, customer service, personal development, and creativity.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi BSN,

Well, bro, I know the basics of a Bone Diagram. This diagram is used as a problem-solving technique. It can also be used as a brainstorming tool and as a tool in handling daily issues. Additionally, it can be used as a goal-setting tool. It clearly identifies what problems exist and how to overcome them.

Thanks

Hi IAMCALLEDSAD,

Why do you want to teach everybody to be active and lively? I couldn't understand it. Oh, I got it, preaching is easier than practicing... ha ha ha, kidding. It was useful. Thanks for the fabulous PowerPoint presentation.

Hi Asad,

I read the 4 books of Fish! once again 2-3 days back and was just thinking about how to make the presentation/training sessions on the same. Today I opened my citehr and here I am! Thanks, they are really nice. Just wondering whether there will be any copyright issues if we use them?

Also, when you have time, go through the website of "Give them the pickle!" - it's a great tool as well for customer service.

Regards,
Renu

Hi,

The Fish philosophy definitely highlights what most organizations lack today. While it is easy to see how this organization can make it happen, the challenge to most of us is - how do you transfer that philosophy to your workplace and make the staff see the benefits and be willing to change given the underlying culture that the organization is experiencing right now. The secret to it is if we can overcome the cultural barrier to implant the philosophy without the usual resistance to change mentality.

Hello friends,

I have a training needs assessment exercise on Tuesday, and my topic for the same is the fishbone technique. Can any of you guide me on how I can demonstrate this technique in class and how I can prepare an exercise based on it?

Friends, it's really urgent. Can you help?

Dear All,

I truly agree with what Asad mentioned about the book called "Fish Philosophy" by Stephen Lundin. It is a good book to read as it not only inspires you but also encourages you to cultivate the same environment around you. I have been conducting training on this for the past couple of years, and in every session, there is a new discovery.

Hi Asad,

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts on Fish. I'm sure this is the kind of change that will make the workplace, where we spend more than 60% of our time, a good place to live in :)
