Hello sir ,my husband committed suicide on 8 March 2023.He completed one year in service at the time of death.I got the pf amount 1.5 years before and have applied for edli insurance in quess corporation limited at badarpur.Since then they are not responding me ,nor receiving calls and messages.They said they have send the documents to Bangalore office.What should I do now? From where can I get help? They are not helping me in getting edli . I have responsibilities of two children and facing a lot of financial issues and debts.

The law only says that the death should be while in service, and not while on duty, and it implies that by whatever means, let it be accident, suicide or illness, the EDLI is payable if the death has happened before the employee had left the service of the employer.
