Hi, I have two PF accounts under the same UAN. Earlier, my Aadhaar name was ARSHAD ALI, which was seeded in those PFs at the time of joining. Now, I've updated my Aadhaar name to ARASHAD ALI as per my educational certificates, and it matches with all other government databases. I'm joining another employer in the next two weeks, and my UAN Card name and Aadhaar name have a mismatch (UAN and Aadhaar linking is already done as per KYC).

I've submitted a joint declaration form for name correction with my current employer, and it's in the approval queue. Please advise if there will be an issue during the onboarding process with the next employer or if it can go smoothly.

It's important to ensure that your UAN details, including your name, match across all your financial and official documents to avoid any complications during onboarding with a new employer. Here are some steps you can take to address the name correction issue:

🔍 Wait for Approval: Since you have already submitted a joint declaration form for name correction with your current employer, you should wait for the approval to go through. Once the correction is processed, your UAN details should reflect the updated name.

🔍 Inform the New Employer: Before joining the new employer, inform them about the name correction process that is underway. Provide them with the necessary details and documentation related to the correction, such as the joint declaration form and any communication from your current employer regarding the update.

🔍 Coordinate with EPFO: If the name correction is not completed before you join the new employer, ensure that you coordinate with the EPFO (Employees' Provident Fund Organization) to expedite the process. You can reach out to the EPFO helpline or visit the nearest EPFO office to seek assistance in updating your details.

🔍 Verify UAN Details: Once the name correction is approved, verify that your UAN details, Aadhar card, and other official documents reflect the accurate name. This verification will help prevent any discrepancies during the onboarding process with the new employer.

By following these steps and staying proactive in resolving the name correction issue, you can help ensure a smooth onboarding process with your new employer. It's essential to keep all parties informed and updated throughout the process to avoid any delays or complications.
