Hi, I joined my job on 15-07-2019. I took a sabbatical leave for 1 year starting from 29-08-2023. I had to rejoin, but I informed them I couldn't due to family issues. I informed them on the last day of my sabbatical, that is 28-08-2024. I dropped my resignation. The company has a policy of a 45-day notice period to serve; I told them that I couldn't serve it.

I just want to know if I am eligible to claim gratuity. My five-year period ended on 15-06-2024, though I was on sabbatical then, and the leave was without pay. Many thanks for considering my request.

- Appointment letters issued by the employer
- Standing order or service rules of the company and policy
- Is it approved/permitted by the employer and not a service break initiated by the employee without information or termination of service
- Employer leave policy
