Hi folks, I'm under immense pressure regarding one situation. I want to know whether a relieving letter is important even though I haven't demonstrated that experience (1 week) while applying for the new job. However, in the PF portal, the previous employer's name is showing under the service history. I asked the previous employer, but they are refusing to provide me a relieving letter. I have a resignation letter with me, and I'm joining a company as a fresher.

Documents to Substantiate Employment History

To substantiate your employment history, employees may need the following documents:

1) Bank statement showing visible salary credits.
2) EPF contribution statement.
3) Experience letter.
4) Relieving letter or NOC, if provided.
5) Offer letter or joining letter.
6) Full and final settlement.

Following this, you can justify to the next employer the non-issuance of a relieving letter.
