My sir told me he wants a salary break for the 20000 in hand amount. Please tell me if there is a Basic, HRA, gratuity, bonus, or other allowances.
Based on a net amount of 20,000 INR in hand, you can allocate:
Basic Salary: 10,000 INR
House Rent Allowance (HRA): 4,000 INR
The remaining 6,000 INR could be distributed among other allowances or deductions as per company policies.

If the net take-home salary is ₹20,000 per month, then the gross monthly salary must be more than ₹20,000 per month. There will be deductions like PF, ESI (if applicable), and PTAX compulsory.
In this case, the monthly gross may be between ₹21,500 to ₹22,000 per month. Then after deductions of PF, ESI, etc., the net take-home will be ₹20,000 per month.

Hi Swati, where are you working/posted?
HRA and FDA/VDA Considerations
HRA, if applicable, and FDA/VDA will depend on your company policy. You have to account for 12% of your salary towards EPF recovery, around Rs. 200 towards Professional Tax, if applicable, and 0.75% towards ESI contribution (if applicable, if the salary is not more than Rs. 21,000).
