I just joined a new organization in Chennai, and in their policy handbook, they mention they are following the Labour Act 2074 for the probation policy. I searched on the internet but did not find any details. Could anyone please advise me in detail about the Labour Act 2074?

There is no such act in India. However, I cannot say that such an act may not be enacted in the year 2074, fifty-one years from now, by amalgamating the four labor codes (which are yet to be enforced even after four years!). Let us wait and see.

Simple answer here. Ask your organisation what it means. They wrote the handbook, so they will be able to explain it to you. It may be a typo that wasn’t picked up when someone proof read it.
